The Central Massachusetts Regional Public Health Alliance has two full-time registered nurses who provide a myriad of preventive and educational services to the community. Public Health Nursing promotes and protects the health of populations using knowledge from the nursing, social and public health sciences. The Public Health Nurses partner with communities, organizations and populations to reduce health risks and to promote, maintain and restore health, as well as, to advocate for system-level changes to improve health.

The Public Health Nurses are essential in investigating disease outbreaks, providing case management for tuberculosis patients, and facilitating annual flu clinics.
